About Me

Getting Into Wine, Sonoma, 1990

I worked on Wall Street in the early 1980s. To alleviate the suffering from a declining market, i developed an unquenchable interest in wine.

In 1985 I left the brokerage business and enrolled at the University of California at Davis School of Enology & Viticulture where I graduated with a degree in Enology in 1989.

I completed winemaking internships at Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards in Sonoma and Acacia Winery in Napa. My academic experience and passion for wine, combined with my extensive travels to wine regions throughout Europe and South America, have contributed to a series of articles, which have been published in Wine Spectator, Wines & Vines, Global Vintage Quarterly and Practical Winery & Vineyard.

Currently I am the Connecticut State Manager for Kobrand.
